Are you motivated to make a positive change to the lives of people who live in families that are impacted by the devastating neurological condition Huntington’s disease (HD)?
This is an exciting opportunity to join our national Financial Wellbeing Service (FWS). You will work closely with Service Lead and two other Financial Wellbeing Officers to provide invaluable financial support to people living in HD families. You will also work in an integrated style with the charity’s HD Specialists, Youth Advisors and professional staff from across the organisation and multiple external agencies.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and motivated to have a positive influence on the quality of life for individuals and their families through the management and delivery of a high quality financial wellbeing service. This includes providing specialist advice on welfare rights, debt management, energy use and future planning.
The successful candidate will have a substantial level of experience in the advice sector and the confidence and knowledge to work autonomously in this challenging and rewarding role. Good listening, communication and interpersonal qualities are essential, as are excellent time keeping and caseload management skills. This is a community post therefore a clean, current driving licence and use of a car are also required.
