Role

Background

Impact Arts is a leading provider of school-based emotional and mental health Art Therapy services in Scotland. Established in 1994 its mission is to tackle inequalities in Scotland through creative engagement. It offers a flexible menu of school-based mental health services, available to children, their families and/or carers as well as CPD to teachers and staff of Glasgow’s schools and in a community setting within North Ayrshire. The opportunity has arisen for us to appoint this Children’s Services & Safeguarding Manager position which will allow us to effectively and safely deliver art therapy and other children’s services while looking to grow the reach of our children’s services nationally.

Purpose

To lead and manage all aspects of the Art Therapy and therapeutic counselling service, currently in Glasgow and North Ayrshire, in line with the delivery targets and quality standards set by the organisation.

To lead and manage a range of projects for children, including Creative Outdoor Play and creative collaborations with schools aimed at supporting wellbeing and attainment as well as creative expression.

To play an active role as a key member of the Programme Management Delivery team.

To be the organisational Dedicated Safeguarding Officer, supporting our delivery team working with children, young people and vulnerable adults to ensure the highest standards of safeguarding are upheld across the organisation.
