Role

Stop press! ASH Scotland has an exciting opportunity for a confident communications professional who is a dab hand across social media channels and has a sharp eye for spotting and telling newsworthy stories to increase the profile of the charity’s cause and brand.

By joining our outcomes-driven Policy, Information and Communications team, you can make a valuable contribution towards delivering our new communications strategy and achieving our goals of eradicating harms caused by smoking, the biggest cause of preventable ill health and early death in Scotland, and reducing tobacco related inequalities in our most deprived communities.

As Communications and Information Officer, you will work collaboratively with supportive colleagues to take forward our media relations activities and produce creative social media content to reach diverse audiences with news of our latest research or training resources, our public health policy calls to action and amplify impactful stories by people with lived experience of successfully quitting smoking.

If you have a passion for communicating as well as knowledge or experience of supporting evidence based policy or public affairs work, we’d love to hear from you.
