The Office and Compliance Manager is a pivotal role sitting at the heart of the organisation leading our administration and compliance activity. The post ensures the organisation runs efficiently and safely in line with all regulations and best practice.

This is demanding yet rewarding role for a person with drive and initiative. The post holder will manage the day to day working operations of the National Office, based in Edinburgh, in relation to contracts and suppliers, managing our administrative team and capacity, supporting the onboarding and offboarding recruitment process for staff and volunteers, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation including Health and Safety and employment.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed person, with a ‘can-do’ approach to problem solving with a strong background in office management, administration, or operations with appropriate qualifications or experience.

The Office and Compliance Manager will also support the Board of Trustees through coordinating meetings and taking formal minutes.

The Office and Compliance Manager has autonomy within the role but will work closely with the Director of Operations and People and Culture Manager to make decisions and recommend changes as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

· Manage National Office, including contract and lease management, health and safety, and data compliance

· Collect and analyse data regarding the performance of the organisation and provide feedback to National Management Team

· Coordinate and attend Board and Committee Meetings and take formal minutes

· Ensure organisational complaints and comments are dealt with appropriately

· Maintain awareness of, and manage internal process for, changes in applicable legislation, certified management systems, and approved codes of practice relevant to the organisation

· Maintain organisational accreditations

· Management IT software, hardware, and support contracts

· Monitor and assess the competitiveness of suppliers

· Provide relevant advice and guidance to all staff and management to ensure adherence to organisational procedures

· Support and Coordinator administrative teams across the organisation and building on our administrative capacity

· Support Hiring Managers with HR processes, including onboarding and offboarding of staff and volunteers

· Supporting our People and Culture Manager in the management of our HR portal (BreatheHR)

· Work closely with our Head of Quality and Improvement in ensuring organisational reports are completed and monitor that appropriate action is taken

· Additional duties and projects as required by the Director of Operations

Essential Criteria:

· I have relevant qualifications or equivalent experience and skills

· Able to communicate effectively, manage teams and expectations

· Able to work autonomously as a self-starter and work as part of a wider team

· Be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of compliance relating to Health and Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management

· Excellent project management skills and demonstrable experience of managing multiple stakeholders to achieve agreed shared objectives

· Exceptional attention to detail and able to work to deadlines

· Experience in office and/or administrative management, and knowledge of managing contracts

· Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and present data

· Commitment to the values of Change Mental Health

· Demonstrable understanding and empathy towards mental health problems

· Track record of managing geographically dispersed teams

· Experience of leading change management

Mental Health & Resilience Service (MHARS)

You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, alongside Midlothian's Community Mental Health Team, providing a distress/crisis line, a single point of access to MHARS for residents of Midlothian. You will respond to calls in a manner guided by the service principles, being inclusive, sensitive and respectful.

From the moment you answer the telephone, you will listen and ensure that you understand the issues that has led to the person’s crisis or distress and provide an immediate response along with the support of the Community Mental Health Team establishing which is the best and most appropriate support for that person. By understanding each person's unique situation, enables a fast, tailored support and assists them to identify ways to successfully resolve their crisis and or distress and assists each individual to plan for their future.

Once the initial period of crisis has been addressed, you will support connections to additional statutory or community support and/or deliver a Distress Brief Intervention (DBI) response to those in distress. This will involve community-based problem-solving support, wellness and distress management planning, supporting connections and signposting for a period of up to 14 days. You will be flexible and responsive, offering the mode of support that the supported person feels most comfortable with. You will assist people using this service, to establish and maintain a meaningful and fulfilling life in their community.

Midlothian Park Cottage

Park Cottage is a community based mental health rehabilitation service for eight people with complex mental health needs. We offer 24 hour tailored person centred support, supported living and community rehabilitation. Support can be practical and emotional to help individuals lead an ordinary and fulfilling life in the community. The time, length and areas of activity covered are different for everyone, but structured support can include help with budgeting, life skills, confidence building and social inclusion for approximately 12-18 months. You will work alongside the Community Mental Health Team as part of the Wayfinder Model, to work collaboratively to support each individual and their needs. You will be flexible and responsive, offering the mode of support that the supported person feels most comfortable with. You will assist people using this service, to establish and maintain a meaningful and fulfilling life in their community

As an Assistant Service Manager, you will manage, support and supervise two diverse staff teams, alongside the Service Manager to ensure the needs of individuals are met and the service provided is run effectively. You will support individuals by delivering frontline work, to support you in understanding and promoting the service delivery requirements and the quality of service provided.

With the aim of equipping people with the skills needed to live independently and meaningfully within their local community, a strengths-based coaching approach to recovery is used to build confidence, maintain motivation and promote resilience.

We are looking for a dynamic and creative Senior Project Worker, to lead our Resource Centre in Easter-Ross.

This role involves provision of recovery-focussed and person-centred support to people attending the Centre, through individual and group-based work, as well as leading the Centre team and managing the service.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have some or all of the following: an SVQ Level 3 qualification in Social Services and Health Care (or an equivalent qualification), experience of leading a service and of providing support to people whose Mental Health issues seriously affect their lives. The post holder will be required to pass a PVG check.

This is one of a number of centres around Scotland where Change Mental Health welcomes people with a wide variety of mental health conditions and offers compassionate, creative, focussed support that can assist recovery. Our aim in these centres is to provide a warm, welcoming environment where people can find the confidence and trust that they need in order to engage with support.

As Senior Project Worker you will be the lead for a small team of Project Workers and Volunteers, providing line management, supervision and advice for the staff, as well as engaging directly in support work with people who use the centre. You will also have scope to use your creativity in developing the Centre, through cooperation with service users, the Centre staff and colleagues in stakeholder organisations. This role will be an opportunity to bring new energy and ideas to a service that already has a well-deserved reputation for providing an excellent service.
