MYPAS promotes the health and wellbeing of young people across Midlothian and East Lothian and currently focuses on working in the areas of mental health, substance use and LGBT+ support. MYPAS is a community-based organisation with charitable status and based in Dalkeith, Midlothian.

The post holders will be responsible, as part of a team, for the development, delivery and evaluation of an 18 month pilot project focusing on children and young people’s health and wellbeing. The post holders will deliver a health and wellbeing education programme with children and young people, followed by targeted group and or one to one support.

There is no specific qualification required; however, the post holders will be expected to be educated to degree level. This should be in a relevant field such as Health, Community Education, Social Work or Education, but significant equivalent experience will also be considered.

The post holders will work within a multi-disciplinary service and be expected to work effectively with other agencies in partnership settings.

Part-time applications are preferred but full-time work may be considered for these positions depending on service deployment considerations.

These posts may require evening and occasional weekend work.

Special conditions:

• The post is funded for a fixed term of 18 months

• The posts may involve evening and occasional weekend working.

• You must be able to travel across Midlothian.

Place of work: The administrative base is in Dalkeith. Travel throughout Midlothian including operating from other venues, will be required.
