Grants and Relationship Manager – working for a charitable trust which is an outward-looking, approachable funder providing grants to charities which work in Scotland. As part of a dedicated team with experienced administrative support, you will have strong interpersonal skills and ability to form and develop effective relationships with the charities it funds.

Job Description – unique opportunity to work with a Trust distributing funds thematically, providing grants to Scottish based charities tackling child abuse and neglect, neurological conditions, visual impairment, animal welfare and the RNLI. The trust also provides non-financial support to beneficiary charities. You will ensure that the Trust supports charities and individuals across all stages of the funding cycle, from pre-application to reporting. You will also help charities to share learning and consider opportunities for collaboration. Working with small and large charities, you will help them to fulfil their mission.

Duties and skills will include;

• Create, build and develop relationships within the charity sector
• Main point of contact for designated charity groups
• Provide advice and support before and during application
• Support grant assessment process
• Oversee the administration of applications and awards
• Identify ways for the Trust to support charities
• Provide consistent relationship support
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prepare reports including supporting papers
• Facilitate meetings and absorb complex information
• Raise awareness of Trust among relevant stakeholders
• Engage and listen to people with varied life experiences

The role will require some travel throughout Scotland and flexibility out with the agreed week’s work pattern.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Fundraiser to work with our Head of Fundraising and Learning to assist in the implementation and delivery of the Fundraising Department Strategy.

You will assist with developing, implementing and monitoring the Corporate fundraising operational plan achieving financial targets and Key Performance Indicators, as we as, promoting excellence in donor stewardship which motivates and inspires individuals, groups, and local business to maximise giving.

If successful you will be responsible or:

• To develop, implement and monitor effective corporate partnership plans ensuring the objectives of both corporate partners and Poppyscotland are met.
• To manage the delivery of key corporate fundraising activities.
• To act as account manager for all Poppyscotland corporate partnerships.
• To seek out and maximise all networking opportunities to build relationships with existing and potential key corporate partners.
• To develop and maintain knowledge of Scotland’s corporate sector ensuring all fundraising opportunities are maximised.
• To work closely with other fundraising functions (in particular the Poppy Appeal), to establish and deliver appropriate corporate support for those functions.
• To develop and maintain a range of corporate fundraising products and materials
• To work closely and in conjunction with the Royal British Legion Corporate Partnerships Team in the development and delivery of UK-wide corporate partnerships.

Please note that the job will require some evening and week-end work including some overnight stays. Flexibility with working hours and travel is required.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Trusts, Foundations and Major Giving Fundraising Manager to work towards securing significant income through charitable Grants, Trusts, Foundations, High Net worth individuals and Non-statutory Funding Bodies to fund general and specific projects

You will research and identifying appropriate funders whose criteria match our needs, preparing cases for support and submitting compelling written bids and complex grant applications as appropriate whilst building positive ongoing relationships keeping funders informed of our work to maximize the possibility of repeat grants

If successful you will be responsible or:

• Develop and submit high quality, compelling funding applications to Trusts and Foundations in relation to relevant projects.
• Identify and build relationships with major individual supporters with a focus on securing substantial new donations, and ensuring our pipeline of supporters is healthy.
• Nurture good relationships with existing and prospective donors, and develop stewardship programmes
• To undertake appropriate presentations and activities in relation to our Trusts and Foundations applications
• To liaise with all relevant internal and external bodies including The Lady Haig Poppy Factory and The Royal British Legion, Legion Scotland in order to develop and delivery applications for special projects.
• To represent Poppyscotland in a professional way that ensures appropriate communication with our supporters and stakeholders.
• To ensure grants are received, acknowledged and payment schedules are adhered to in order to ensure an excellent supporter experience at each step of the supporter journey.

This is a key role within the HR function, supporting and assisting managers across the organisation in a range of people management and development themes. The HR Officer is an integral and core team member providing expert HR case management advice whilst working proactively to support the HR Manager. The HR Officer will be required to work independently to maintain and prioritise their varied and busy workload.
