Edinburgh Carers Council is looking for two peer support workers to assist carers and adult siblings of people with an eating disorder to feel supported in their caring role and to experience improved wellbeing. You will recruit and develop volunteers with lived experience of caring for someone with an eating disorder and support these volunteers in providing both individual and group peer support. You will cover the NHS Lothian area building on established links with carer organisations and NHS Lothian staff in inpatient and community services for eating disorders.

You will have experience of working in a supportive and enabling role in the mental health field and be passionate about the rights of carers and ensuring their voice is heard. You will communicate with empathy and sensitivity and have the ability to build good working relationships. Personal or lived experience as a carer of a person with an eating disorder is desirable.

Lanarkshire Carers is recruiting Carer Support Worker’s to join our team. You will have a relevant qualification in health or social care and/or work experience appropriate for this post. You will need a good understanding of the issues carers face along with experience/understanding of providing individual and group work support, case management and person-centred, strength based and outcome focused approaches.

Carers of West Dunbartonshire is an innovative and value-based charity, which supports those over 18 years who look after a family member or friend due to illness, disability, frailty or addiction. Funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, the organisation is seeking to recruit a Project Lead for the RISE Project (Resilient, Inspired, Supported & Empowered Carers).

As the Project Lead, you will support the development and implementation of our new RISE Project within identified areas across West Dunbartonshire. This three-year project will build resilience, embrace inspiration, provide support and encourage empowerment by identifying hidden and seldom heard from carers, to ensure that they are aware of their rights and provide them with support which will build resilience and skills.

As Project Lead, you will be a highly motivated individual who, ideally has experience in Community Care and a good understanding of the issues relating to unpaid adult carers.

Scottish Cot Death Trust is Scotland’s only charity dedicated to the issue of the sudden and unexpected death of babies and young children. Our key strands of work include support for families, a diverse training programme for professionals across a range of sectors, and research into sudden infant death.

To support our work we are looking for a Fundraising and Communications Officer with a strong track record in income generation and effective communications. Ideally, we’re looking for someone with experience of community fundraising, corporate fundraising such as ‘charity of the year’ partnerships, and digital appeals. However, we’re open to applications from anyone with different experience but with the transferrable skills, energy and attitude to be an exceptional fundraising and communications colleague.

We’re open to applications on a job share basis for either of the distinct parts of the role, with the fundraising element at 21 hours/wk and the communications (including digital appeals) at 14 hours/wk.
