Time commitment: Four Board meetings per year (currently virtual). A trustee is also expected to have regular
meetings with the Chair/CEO other trustees as required, and also represent the Charity at various sub-committee
meetings, occasional events and meetings with key stakeholders.

Dartington Service Design Lab is an internationally respected social research and design charity focussed on using
evidence and design in innovative ways to help those working with children and young people have a greater
impact.
As an organisation, we have more than 50 years of experience working across the public and voluntary sectors.
We are seeking to enhance our trustee Board with a priority on individuals that can offer expertise in one or more of
the following areas:
· Children's Services within the Scottish context;
· Rights-based and advocacy for children, young people and marginalised groups
· Communications, knowledge mobilisation and influencing
· Design approaches (e.g. Service, User Experience and User Interface product and/or content design)
· Research, particularly around innovations in the generation and use of evidence
The successful candidate may be based anywhere in Scotland.
Dartington’s work is rarely routine. We are often experimenting and trying to innovate with those who we work with.

We are looking for several new trustees that are able to quickly add value and integrate into our Board, with a
numbers of years’ experience in one of our focus recruiting areas.
