The Scottish Childminding Association (SCMA) is the national voice of childminding in Scotland. SCMA is a national Third Sector and membership organisation that promotes childminding as a quality childcare service. We are recruiting a part-time Childminding Development Officer in Aberdeen to work with the Senior Childminding Development Officer in delivering childminding support services which include supporting ELC and Community Childminding alongside a particular focus on the recruitment, support and training of childminders.
You will have experience of delivering training to adults; an awareness and understanding of families
and the support needed; working collaboratively with key agencies including Early Years; and have an understanding of childminding and the role of childminders.
Excellent organisational and inter-personal skills are required and working as part of a team is
essential. You should be able to demonstrate enthusiasm, self-motivation, and highly developed written and oral communication skills.
The posts are home-based but will require travel and attendance at meetings within the geographic area (including occasional travel to Head Office in Stirling). Equipment and broadband/IT connections will be provided.
Starting Salary: AP3 PT 23 £23,772 (pro rata) and we operate a contributory pension scheme which
you will be auto-enrolled into (subject to the conditions of the scheme).
