Role

Searching for a position with purpose where your time will be transformational? A role to make a radical difference for young people disadvantaged through no fault of their own.

Join an award-winning charity and passionate team dedicated to helping the country’s most disadvantaged young people to be determined by their talent and never their circumstances. Our in-school mentoring has profound impacts on mentees in their confidence, wellbeing and achievement. MCR mentors make and experience a life changing difference.

MCR Pathways is a national, award-winning mentoring programme dedicated to addressing the long-standing inequality in education outcomes, career opportunities and life chances for young people in care and those experiencing vulnerability or disadvantage.

We are recruiting a Schools Programme Director for Scotland. A leader who knows education; is both strategic and hands-on; able to build exceptional relationships, teams and partnerships. A dynamic leader who can help recruit an army of volunteer mentors to support 1000s of young people each week, and the caring relationships that make the difference. A motivated, committed and resilient person who can lead from the front and be the regional champion for the MCR cause, young people, schools, mentors, their employers and the communities we serve.

The successful candidate will be joining our organisation at a time of exciting growth, where we are launching into new local authorities and developing our programme.
