This is a new post which will have lead responsibility for the development and delivery of a range of activities designed to build the capacity of existing carer services to better support BAME carers. You will work within our existing carer support team to provide advice, information, advocacy and casework support. Applicants must be able to speak a relevant community language, have experience of providing direct support to individuals and be committed to anti-discriminatory practice.

An exciting opportunity to inform and influence the provision of public health messaging to BAME communities in Scotland. The postholder will work with Public Health Scotland, the Scottish Government and BAME communities to better understand, and respond to, the public health messaging requirements of the beneficiary community/ies. You will have demonstrable experience of community-based research and evidence based approaches to inform and influence the ongoing development of policy and practice.

You will work within our existing Gypsy/Traveller support service providing specialist advice, information, advocacy and casework support to community members to address accommodation and housing related issues. Applicants should be committed to anti-discriminatory practice, have a background in rights-based work and experience of working with marginalized communities. The ability to translate evidence into policy would also be useful in this role.
