About the role
Voluntary Action North Lanarkshire is the respected and valued support organisation for the community and voluntary sector in North Lanarkshire.
The role will involve establishing, convening and supporting a NL Social Prescribing Working Group and supporting planning and delivery of a linked Community Solutions Prevention and Early Intervention fund.

Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer (AVA) with additional support and supervision from Chief Executive Officer (ACVO).
AVA and ACVO are the Third Sector Interfaces (TSIs) for Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen City respectively. The role of a TSI is to support, connect and promote community, voluntary and third sector organisations so that they can deliver more services for people who rely on them.
In the first of its kind for our organisations, we are seeking to recruit a joint Policy and Consultations Officer. The postholder will be expected to be enthusiastic and self-driven, and able to work within different teams, whilst balancing competing demands. They should be able to interpret local, regional, and national policies as they apply to community, voluntary, and third sector groups and organisations; support those groups and organisations to understand and engage with the policies; and enable AVA and ACVO to prepare effective responses to those policies.
For indicative purposes only, the postholder will be expected to work in the following way:
- 2 days per week on national policies
- 1 day per week on City & Shire-wide policies
- 1 day per week on Aberdeenshire policies
- 1 day per week on Aberdeen City policies
DVVA are looking for a new Community Hub Coordinator to assist in the development of the Community Hubs linking in with the funding outcomes providing a delivery centre for services based upon the needs of the community.
The post holder will engage with other services around Dundee providing need base services within the Hubs around substance use and the 5 Tier Recovery Programme (5TRP) that was developed from the Lochee Community Hub Test of Change 2021.
The post holder will review the needs in the area regularly and communicate with the services involved through management meetings taking the lead in this. The Hub Co-ordinator will work in conjunction with Dundee City Councils community plan and in partnership with Dundee alcohol and drug partnership.

Community Asset Transfer (CAT) Development Officer

To implement a place-based approach and deliver a high-quality service to communities and partners, with a focus on improving life chances and empowering people to make positive changes through a capacity building approach. Key work areas will be to support the Community Empowerment agenda via Community Asset Transfer (CAT).
The Community Asset Transfer (CAT) Development Officer will be part of the Third Sector Interface (TSI) Team and will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality services to the communities of North Ayrshire.
This role will focus on delivering the TACT mission of ‘delivering programmes and projects that make a difference to people’s lives by encouraging, supporting and promoting community action’. The CAT Development Officer will provide a wide range of information and support to North Ayrshire groups and organisations with an interest in Community Asset Transfer.
