Purpose of Job

• To be responsible for the wellbeing and development of residents and the day to day running of a household.
• To take an active interest in issues regarding the whole community.

Major Tasks

• To be responsible for the safety and welfare of all living and working in the household.
• To support and supervise the volunteers and employed staff in the household.
• To co-ordinate the daily living arrangements in the household and to ensure that all aspects of the care provided in the household comply with SSSC codes of practice and standards agreed by the Community in accordance with best professional residential care practice.
• To be responsible for the management of the finances of the household and, as appropriate, to assist residents in the handling of their money.
• To liaise with workshop leaders to ensure that Residents’ needs are met within their work environment.
• To identify and ensure that the training needs of volunteers and employed staff in the house are met.
• To uphold and contribute to the social/therapeutic impulse, as part of the Camphill philosophy. To be present and actively participate in the annual festivals.
• Co-ordination and implementation of driving duties required for the household. Car driving is an essential part of this role covering tasks such as taking residents to healthcare and various other appointments, shopping with residents, attending reviews etc.
• Any other reasonable duties, as and when required, to meet Corbenic’s needs. ​​

We are seeking a full-time Community Engagement Team leader to deliver a comprehensive programme of support to reduce social isolation and loneliness in our client group, including providing day-to-day leadership of seescape’s Community Engagement Team.

With a strong focus on service delivery and volunteer management, we’re looking for someone with a flair for motivating and supporting both staff, volunteers and clients, and the ability to manage a busy and wide-ranging workload.

To support service users whilst they attend Antonine Court, so they can enjoy the best possible quality of life either in group settings or on a 1-1 basis. Providing care and support is both a challenging and rewarding experience. Compassion, good communication skills and a calm and caring manner are essential for this important role whilst in employment with Antonine Court.

With the young person at the centre and working with external partners, our work focuses on seeking innovative, personalised approaches which enable each individual to reach his or her maximum potential.

Established in 1874, East Park’s services have developed considerably over many years and is now a niche and specialist service provider in education and care and has ambitious plans to improve its campus facilities and the general environments around East Park.

To help support the organisation going forward East Park seeks skilled and motivated individuals to join the Board of Directors. As a non-executive member of the Board you will play a central role in developing strategy, monitoring quality and governance and supporting the provision of education and care services.

East Park seeks individuals who possess strategic vision, good independent judgement, and have the ability to work as part of a diverse team. We are keen to hear from you if you have high level experience in:

• health and/or social care – policy and delivery
• charity law or similar
• fundraising/marketing or similar
• charity and/or business governance

Above all, East Park seeks people who share our values and wish to support vulnerable children and young people in fulfilling their potential, that understand the challenges of the sector, and will fulfil a constructive and supportive role in furthering the values and objectives of East Park.

The Board meets around 6 times per year for 2-3 hours on a weekday. Although the role is non-remunerated reasonable expenses will be reimbursed with training provided.
