communities: encouraging, supporting, and motivating children and young people to gain the life skills required
to thrive in the modern world.
OutLET: Play Resource is looking for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people to succeed.
You should have experience of working with young people from a wide range of backgrounds and will have an
in-depth knowledge of the play work principles, Forest School ethos and trauma informed practice. The Play
Ranger role position is predominantly outdoors so you must be comfortable working outdoors in all weathers.
In this role you will join a small team of outdoor practitioners who work with children and young people who need
additional support in accessing and achieving in mainstream education, including care experienced children and
young people and those with additional support needs.
As part of the team you will deliver outdoor learning programmes such as bushcraft, environmental programmes and
nurture groups.
We are seeking a kind individual, who can be consistent in their interactions with young people. They will have
excellent communication skills with both children and adults and work well in a small team.
This post will involve occasional evening and weekend work.
Essential – Driver with access to a car, PVG check.
Play Ranger Position - 35 hours per week with options of overtime.
1 year contract with possibility of extension.
Our main office is based in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire; travel across Lanarkshire and other areas will be
required.
