Role
This is an exciting time to join Marie Curie in the role of IT Oracle Support Analyst. The IT Oracle Support Analyst role encompasses supporting the IT Oracle team in all technical solution development and support of Marie Curie’s Oracle platform. Working closely with the IT Oracle Platform Manager, HR, Finance and IT colleagues, you will drive service focused improvements to the Oracle system for Marie Curie.
The IT Oracle Support Analyst will allow you to provide application expertise and guidance to the business whilst supporting the operation and maintenance of the Oracle SaaS platform.
What we are looking for:
A individual with a strong focus on customer service and a wealth of experience resolving issues and supporting colleagues across an organisation. You will be able to demonstrate your knowledge of the Oracle HCM and EPM systems and how to configure them, your ability to understand complex business processes, and your ability to communicate clearly and influence key stakeholders across the charity.
The IT Oracle Support Analyst role will:
- Be a key member providing support for the Marie Curie (MC) cloud-based Oracle software as a service platform.
- Liaise with relevant 3rd party support (including, on occasion, Oracle) to monitor issues requiring escalation from Marie Curie to Oracle.
- Be first line support and respond to potential issues with the Oracle system or the configuration.
- Act as one of the first resolvers of any issues within the Oracle platform which affect the whole estate (e.g. security, performance, data integrity, configuration).
- Provide help and assistance to Marie Curie staff and volunteers directly or indirectly using the Oracle Finance, Procurement, HR and Payroll systems.
- Respond as required to users raising questions about the Oracle system.
- Assist training and provide knowledge transfer to MC staff as they transition from support of legacy back office systems to working on the new Oracle SaaS platform
- Provide support for quarterly Oracle patching and upgrades (working with IT Security to report security threats)

Our small hardworking team of staff at Ronald McDonald House Glasgow are dedicated to helping those families who need us at the most stressful and vulnerable time of their lives.
We have been providing support to thousands of families with seriously ill children in hospital for over twenty-six years and we provide a cost free home away from home for families with children receiving care and undergoing treatment at the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow and other hospitals in the west of Scotland. We are totally funded by donations and are open and staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
For families with an ill child the House is a fantastic haven at a stressful time when their child’s stay in hospital requires them to be close by.

We are looking for a full-time Events Fundraiser to join us to maximise the charity’s fundraising ability, help raise our profile and play a key role in our success.
What’s involved?
With solid experience in, leading, developing and delivering a calendar of successful income generating events you will lead on Ronald McDonald House Glasgow aspirations to maximise success in financially profitable event opportunities.
You will have demonstrable experience of creating and updating website, social media content and press releases. You will be conversant with liaising with the media and able to actively seek out opportunities for positive press coverage for events, and other charity activities.

You will be a highly organised person skilled in running events. You will have the ability to deal calmly with the unexpected. An effective communicator who is confident reaching out to familiar and new audiences to raise the profile of the charity and source new supporters.

yrshire Cancer Support (ACS) is Ayrshire’s leading cancer support charity, providing free practical and emotional support for people affected by cancer. A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the senior management team to lead the vital income and communications work of the charity.
For over 40 years, ACS has provided free lifeline services to people affected by cancer across Ayrshire. The charity relies on fundraising and income generation to offer a comprehensive range of key services including therapeutic support; hospital transport and emotional support at centres in Ayr and Kilmarnock. The recent acquisition of a new property in Ayr means plans are underway to further extend this provision to children and young people.
The Director of Income and Communications role is a pivotal leadership position within ACS, given the organisation’s reliance on income generation to ensure services are free to all who need them. The charity is therefore seeking an exceptional and inspiring individual to lead this work and direct the work of a dedicated fundraising and communications team.
In this role, you will report directly to the CEO and be accountable for income generation and communications strategies; for leading flagship campaigns and for building and maintaining key relationships as a strategic partner. You will drive the charities long term digital outreach and engagement work, supporting your team to understand its messaging and audiences in order to convert support into clear targets for donations, corporate giving and fundraising.
You will be an experienced leader with the ability to inspire and motivate your team to be high performing. A strategic thinker, you will provide effective support to the CEO in delivering strategic priorities whilst offering reliable expertise gained through a successful track record in income generation. You’ll understand the digital tools needed to support excellence in communications and marketing and you will bring ideas, enthusiasm and a passion for fundraising as well as knowledge of the requirements that guide good practice in this field. You don’t have to have been a senior manager to apply. You may be someone who has led projects, is a skilled team manager, has proven fundraising expertise, and is now hungry to take the next step into a senior leadership role.
You will be a people person who is entrepreneurial, creative, adaptable, resilient and outcome driven with high standards of integrity. You will have excellent communication skills and will be comfortable speaking with and presenting to a wide range of audiences – from families affected by cancer and members of the public who fundraise for the charity, to clinicians and health professionals, funders and major donors. We are looking for someone who has direct experience of delivering a similar service to people with life-limiting conditions and their families, coupled with management expertise and experience to ensure the best service is delivered to the people that MND Scotland supports. You may have gained this experience in the voluntary, public or private sectors and in a professional or voluntary capacity.
