Role

New Gorbals Housing Association (NGHA) is a dynamic community controlled organisation. Our offices are based in the heart of the Gorbals, within walking distance of Glasgow City Centre. Owning and managing 2,600 homes for rent, and factoring over 1,600 owners homes, we are committed to;

  • providing the highest possible quality housing, environment and services to all of our customers, and
  • maximising our contribution to the overall regeneration of the Gorbals, addressing wherever possible the needs of those in the community who are disadvantaged.

As Communications Officer you will work closely with colleagues across NGHA towards our key aims and deliver our external and internal communications functions.

You will be an experienced, confident and enthusiastic communications professional with good judgment, strong organisational skills and commitment to community control and equalities.

Your key responsibilities will be to deliver and develop our programme of print and digital publications, support the development of our website, run our social media accounts and provide communications support to staff throughout NGHA.

You will work collaboratively with, and be supported by, the Communications Manager and will also enjoy working independently towards deadlines.
