The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh is one of the world’s top four botanic gardens based on the quality, breadth and depth of our science, plant collections, public engagement, and education. We are looking for an enthusiastic Finance and Insights Officer to join our team.

Based within our Finance team, you will provide support to the Development team to allow accurate financial reporting of funds raised, strengthening the links between the two departments, and improving the recording of income in both the Development and Finance systems. Key tasks will include aiding the wider Development team in terms of financial, reporting and analytics support. Development and finance work requires close inter-departmental working with other divisions related to grants and gifts, as well as having oversight of the interplay between central finance systems and Raisers Edge as well as contributing to the gathering, assessment and reporting of information which will help improve the planning, delivery, and evaluation of the Development Division.

You will also provide additional support to the Finance Business Partner - Capital & Projects to assist with reporting on the Edinburgh Biomes project’s finances, finance monitoring and reporting for significant grants, as well as other projects across the organisation.

A strong focus on communicating and building relationships with stakeholders is key to this position.
