This vacancy offers an exciting opportunity to join Stepping Stones as part of our Family Wellbeing team.
Within this role you will develop and deliver two groups per week which are aimed at families with children under 5 years and designed to help build their confidence and wellbeing whilst reducing isolation.
You will have the opportunity to home visit families, build relationships and offer support to address challenges which the family are facing. You will work closely with Stepping Stones colleagues to offer flexible and tailored support.

Improving the lives of children and families in North Edinburgh
Funded by The City of Edinburgh Council, The Haven Project supports children in the Early Years and Primary ages and their families in the North Edinburgh area.
As part of Circle’s Haven Project Team, the postholder will provide support to children and families in their local community. Support will include the provision of one-to-one support for children, holistic family support and group work with the aim of building resilience, parenting capacity and positive relationships.

• enabling fathers and male carers to develop their parenting capacity and relationships with their children
• supporting fathers and male carers to address their substance use and attendant risks
• working with fathers and male carers to promote a safer lifestyle for the family

Funded by KPE4, the Mentor Co-ordinator at Circle’s Haven Project supports children in the Primary ages in the North Edinburgh area.
As part of Circle’s Haven Project, the Mentor Co-ordinator will provide support to mentors and mentees.
For mentees the project provides a consistent 1:1 mentor, one afternoon per week for the entire school year. They will be given support with homework using a positive approach to learning, by responding to individuals’ different needs and abilities.
The project provides a range of fun activities including arts and crafts, cooking and board games; and indoor as well as outdoor physical activities such as football.
For mentors we provide a first-class opportunity for volunteering, which increases their confidence and skills in working with young children while developing their knowledge of children’s development.

The Welfare Rights Assistant will be responsible to the Project Manager for supporting the delivery of the Financial Inclusion work within the Glasgow Service for single parent families. The role will include the provision of crisis and welfare rights support, outreach activities and supporting the delivery and co-ordination of welfare rights and money management sessions for single parents.
