The Royal College of General Practitioners is the largest membership organisation solely for GPs in the United Kingdom. Founded in 1952, it has over 53,000 members who are committed to improving patient care, developing their own skills and promoting general practice as a discipline. General practice is the largest branch of the medical profession. It provides some 1 million consultations for patients in the UK every working day and deals with 86% of the health problems experienced by the UK population.
We are currently seeking an individual to work as part of the Devolved Nations and Republic of Ireland Faculty Support Team. Based in Scotland, this part-time role would suit someone with excellent organisational and time management skills. Managing the day-to-day core activities of two of the faculties in Scotland, you will provide support advice and guidance to Faculty Chairs and Officers and operational support to local Faculty Boards. This includes the planning and delivery of quarterly Faculty Board meetings and Annual General Meetings.
You will need demonstrable experience of supporting committees and excellent organisational and communication skills. The ability to work on your own initiative, manage conflicting deadlines and prioritise your workload is a key part of the role as well as the ability to work in a professional manner with honesty and integrity. The position offers the opportunity to work as an integral part of a key team within the College, delivering support directly to our members.

This permanent role is offered on a part-time basis of 21 hours per week with flexibility over days worked (Monday to Friday) and location is flexible across Scotland.
