Organisational Development Manager

Responsible to: Head of Sector Development

The post-holder will lead a small team working in Glasgow to support and develop the capacity of third sector organisations to deliver needed services for their community, with a particular focus on supporting organisations that want to play a role in the management and use of community properties and facilities.

The post-holder will have a critical role in supporting existing and emerging third sector organisations to assess their capacity and respond to development needs. They will have a particular focus on supporting organisations with planning and ensuring they have access to appropriate information and support. This will include ensuring that the GCVS team are guided and supported in delivering training, guidance and resources.

Excellent organisational skills and a commitment to a resourceful approach are necessary, as well as excellent communication skills. Ability to lead and work as part of team and to work on your own initiative will be required. The role will involve partnership working with colleagues across agencies and sectors.

Although the post manages a small team, it is anticipated that the post-holder will predominately undertake development level work such as the delivery of training or the provision of guidance and resources.
