Overview

Change Grow Live Edinburgh are seeking new Support Workers to help provide recovery focused psychosocial interventions to service users experiencing drug and alcohol issues in our services in the South East and South West of Edinburgh.

Responsibilities

Change Grow Live Edinburgh Recovery Services provides recovery focused psychosocial interventions to service users experiencing drug and alcohol related issues across the city of Edinburgh. We work within a hub model with partners who include NHS Lothian, CEC Social Work and other voluntary agencies to ensure individualised packages of care to enable service users to achieve their recovery goals, with support provided in both one to one and groupwork settings.

We are looking for experienced and proactive Support Workers to join our team, to assist in provision of high-quality recovery focused interventions to service users across Edinburgh. The services are delivered from our offices in the South West Recovery Service, based in Wester Hailes Healthy Living Centre, and our South East Recovery Service based at Newtoft Street in Gilmerton. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of drug and alcohol issues and experience of working within a related field. Also necessary is a commitment to multi-agency working, excellent communication skills, and a practical approach to facilitating service user involvement.
