The Salvation Army in North Scotland is seeking to rebuild and extend its children and youth programme. This position enables us to focus on the delivery of front-line mission among children and youth in the most effective and efficient way by the development of teams and programme.

In cooperation and with the support of the divisional team and corps (Church) leaders, and in accordance with procedures and policies established at Divisional level; the ideal candidate will assist corps leaders in the development and implementation of corps programme targeted at children and youth.

The successful candidate will have:

  • knowledge of, and experience in children’s and youth work, a relevant professional qualification or be willing to work towards such
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to work within budgets
  • Experience in coordinating activities, schedules and logistics,
  • a working knowledge of relevant digital and social media.
  • They will need to be self-reliant and have the ability and willingness to travel extensively, with overnight stays being common. There will be access to a fleet car for this role.

This role has an occupational requirement that the successful candidate must be a committed and practising Christian and will be in sympathy with the doctrines of, and supportive of, the purposes and the aims and objectives of The Salvation Army.
