Are you passionate about the environment? Do you want to join a dynamic network of eNGOs, all working together to restore and protect Scotland’s environment? Will you put your political knowledge and experience into helping to tackle the nature and climate emergencies?

We are looking for you! We are seeking an Advocacy Manager on a full-time basis. This is a fast-paced role where you will guide the political strategy of Scotland’s voluntary environment network, informing collective work of its forty plus organisations. The role monitors political contexts, opportunities and relationships relevant to the environment, underpinning network advocacy to Scotland’s decision makers and wider policy community. You will advise work groups spanning a range of environmental and sustainability issues, help to build network capacity in advocacy and communications, advise on and develop campaign strategy, prepare materials, co-ordinate events, liaise with other stakeholders and on occasion represent LINK. Working closely with LINK’s small staff team, you will have experience of supporting staff and management of projects.

You should be a graduate, with several years’ experience of Scottish public affairs, an understanding of Scotland’s institutions and an interest in the voluntary sector. You will be able to deal effectively with a large and fast-evolving workload and will have excellent team-working and communication skills. Flexibility for some evening and weekend work required.
