Who we are

WDP is a behaviour change charity helping vulnerable people live happy, healthy and independent lives. We support people with issues around substance misuse, mental health and employability. Our unique and award-winning Capital Card® scheme rewards Service Users for making progress with us through positive activities at community “Spend Partners” such as gyms, restaurants, cinemas, sports stadia and colleagues.

Together we offer a wide range of pharmacological, psychosocial, recovery-orientated, health focused and inpatient interventions that support individuals and their families who wish to receive advice, assessment, and treatment for their drug and/ or alcohol related needs.

The role

The Quality and Governance Lead will be responsible for providing support and guidance, and lead on community care assessments and quality improvements. We are looking for a dynamic, motivated, and caring individual with safeguarding experience and an understanding of inpatient and residential treatment processes. A social worker qualification would be an added advantage but is not a mandatory requirement for this role.

Key responsibilities include:

·Lead on inpatient and residential detoxification and rehabilitation placement

·Managing and monitoring safeguarding processes, pathways, and practice.

·Lead on continuous quality improvement and ensure service is compliant with governance and regulatory frameworks

·Coordinate and lead on the management of incident reporting and investigation, notifications, complaints, and complements.

·Lead on practice and service development including implementation of projects within the service provisions


The role is predominantly based Ilford Chambers, and will involve travel to external meetings and satellites within the borough, and to other WDP locations as needed.
