The role

Want to use your outstanding social media skills to help people in Scotland create warmer homes, reduce their energy bills, and lower their carbon footprint? Then join us as our new social media executive for Home Energy Scotland. Funded by the Scottish Government and managed by Energy Saving Trust, Home Energy Scotland works with people and organisations to help address fuel poverty and the climate emergency. As part of Energy Saving Trust’s wider marketing and communications team, you’ll work with a range of marketing professionals and energy experts to deliver your role.

What you’ll do

In this role:

  • You’ll be responsible for planning and managing social media activity for the Home Energy Scotland channels – currently Facebook and Twitter.
  • You’ll report on your social media activity and turn data into insight to improve engagement.
  • You’ll manage in-house and external paid digital campaigns for a wide range of our programmes delivered in Scotland.
  • You’ll provide expert advice and support to colleagues who use social media as a key marketing channel.

What you’ll bring

As well as bags of enthusiasm for all things social, you will have:

  • Demonstrable experience of managing organic social media channels.
  • Demonstrable writing and editing experience for social media, with the ability to turn complex issues into succinct, compelling content.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of managing and building paid digital marketing adverts and campaigns (both in-house and with agency).
