Role

The Tron Theatre, Glasgow is one of Scotland’s leading producing and receiving theatres.

We are seeking a Venue Technician to join our Technical Team.

The Key Objectives of the role are:

  • To participate in the efficient and effective running of the production department, providing technical facilitation for a range of Tron Theatre productions, visiting productions, events and activities.
  • To work cohesively within the technical team to facilitate all events and to provide a safe, tidy and welcoming working environment within the building for all in-house and visiting company staff.
  • To proactively work as a member of the Production department to effectively deliver technical support and contributing positively to the department as a whole

The successful candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience working in professional theatre, ideally with experience in a building-based environment. Experience of all technical aspects including sound / lighting, video will be essential alongside excellent interpersonal and team working skills and a flexible and hands on approach. Experience in other aspects of theatre, e.g stage work, flying, rigging, set fit ups and stage management would also be beneficial.
