We are all ‘what we eat’, and we are looking for someone with the skills needed to support our care, housekeeping, catering and management teams to ensure that our catering offer is consistently excellent and that young people always experience a safe, healthy, attractive, welcoming and homely living and learning environment

GSC supports vulnerable children, young people and young adults. The GSC campus just outside Bishopton is set in fabulous grounds with a garden wildlife trail and outdoor sports facility. On-campus there are three secure care houses, a close support house & a semi-independent living cottage.

We are seeking to appoint a caring, child-centred, hard-working and resilient individual with a motivation to be a positive role model and make a difference in the overall lives of vulnerable young people. If you have significant experience working in Residential Child Care, with a sound understanding of the needs of vulnerable young people, good analytical and reporting skills and an understanding of quality assurance processes, this new and exciting role at the GSC could appeal to you.

The Care Quality Lead is a key position promoting and upholding the vision and values of the GSC as a place of care, safety and learning through co-ordinating the support services provided for our young people living in Lyle, Kilpatrick, Nevis and Lomond Houses and Hillview Cottage. The role will include directly supporting, guiding and advising our housekeeping and kitchen teams, and working alongside Care Managers to promote a wellbeing focused approach to the catering offer, and the living and learning environments. You will also have a focus on lessening restrictive practices and you will be responsible for monitoring and reporting Data collected and recorded throughout the care houses with the aim of enhancing the care, protection, and nutrition provided for our young people.

The successful candidate should be fully registered with SSSC with supervisory responsibilities and have a sound understanding of record keeping, quality assurance and reporting within Residential Child Care.
