Role

Funder relationships and maximising opportunities they provide are integral to the future of RNIB and to the successful delivery of support to blind and partially sighted people.

You will be a key part of a high performing and successful UK team whose achievements have helped RNIB support more blind and partially sighted people and develop innovative projects by securing large value grants from statutory and lottery funders.

You will work closely with the team and other stakeholders to maximise our income from grant awards and deliver excellent relationship management with the funder. To be effective in this role you should be able to work under pressure, be highly organised, managing various priorities and have great analytical, writing and reporting skills. You should also have experience of managing and administrating large value statutory, lottery and EU funding within the third sector or public sector.

To be successful in this role you will need to possess excellent communication skills in terms of relationship management with wide ranging stakeholders and be able to communicate through face-to-face meetings, email, telephone and Microsoft Teams. You should also have experience of increasing funder awareness and securing their buy-in to our strategic objectives, through tailored information-sharing, events and engagement.

The post can be a mixture of home-based and office based at one of RNIB’s offices throughout the UK. The post will involve some travel across the UK which may require overnight stays.
