Barnardo's Ayrshire Services are looking to recruit 3 Project Workers to support children, young people and families throughout North and South Ayrshire area.

Our Ayrshire services works in partnership with North and South Ayrshire Council, Social Work, Health, Education, ADP and other targeted and universal services to coordinate and deliver intensive packages of support to identified children, young people and families presenting with multiple and/ or complex support needs.

Our services are relational and work in partnership with children, young people and families to remove barriers and improve opportunities. Support packages are delivered 1:1 and within groups.

The successful candidate is required to demonstrate a level of experience:

  • Working alongside children, young people and families to coordinate and deliver outcome focused support tailored to individual and family needs
  • Delivering a variety of interventions in partnership with statutory and third sector colleagues to promote children, young people, and family well-being
  • Risk assessment and complex case management
  • Providing detailed assessments and representation within multiagency meetings
  • Developing and delivering evidence informed practice
  • Experience of delivering group work
  • Evidence of competency using IT systems

You should be motivated, driven and have the ability to work on their own initiative and in addition as part of a wider multidisciplinary team.

Experience of supporting children, young people and families and people affected by multiple adversities is essential, as is an HNC or SVQ3 Health and Social care qualification or equivalent.

The successful candidate will require working with a high degree of flexibility to meet the needs of the service and as such the post holder will be expected to work evenings and occasional weekends as required.

A car user is essential for this post.
