Crisis Skylight Edinburgh provides support for people who are either homeless or at risk of homelessness. We currently deliver our services both from our building and on an outreach basis. Our aim is to end homelessness in Edinburgh and our unique service offers information, advice and guidance, coaching, and teaching & learning which has sustained and continued positive results for people we work with.
As a Progression Manager, you will join the Edinburgh skylight management team at an incredibly exciting time of internal change. We are currently reviewing the way that we deliver our client services nationally, and as Progression Manager you will be central to the design and implementation of our service offer in Edinburgh. Additionally, Crisis Skylight Edinburgh will be moving into a bespoke, member-focussed building in central Edinburgh in 2022.
About the role
As Progression Manager you will manage a team of staff who deliver 1-1 support and interventions aimed at ending or preventing the homelessness of our members. You will work with the management team to ensure that our case management standards are embedded across the whole skylight. You will provide key management guidance and support to both the individuals on your team as well as the wider Skylight team. In addition, you will develop strong partnerships with statutory and voluntary sector organisations across Edinburgh. You will work collaboratively with the management team to ensure the support package for members is tailored to everyone to optimise their sustained route out of homelessness.
This is an 18-month fixed term contract
To be successful in this role you will be an experienced operational manager with a proven track record of success working with vulnerable and excluded adults. The ability to lead by example, inspire and lead a multi-disciplinary team working with people with complex and enduring needs, as well as experience of developing external and internal partnerships to gain the most positive outcome for people using the service. You will be driven to end homelessness, experienced in motivating and managing a team, be an active and positive contributor to our management team locally and able to provide insight and influence on both internal and external audiences.
