Waverley Care are recruiting a Development Manager to lead on our work with Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities across Scotland.
We are looking for someone who can help us to reach new communities with messages around sexual health and HIV prevention, treatment and care in Scotland, while also developing our existing work in new and innovative ways.
You will demonstrate that there are no ‘hard to reach’ communities, and take the lead on how to best reach different communities to help Scotland get to zero HIV transmissions.
The Development Manager will work closely with wider Waverley Care staff to make sure that BAME communities are represented and have a voice in service delivery and development. You will also work closely with the Leadership Team to ensure the charity is at the forefront of working with BAME communities around sexual health and HIV, and will represent Waverley Care on these issues at high level meetings.
This is a critically important new role at a crucial time in our charity's history as we work towards hepatitis C elimination and zero HIV transmissions in Scotland.
We are looking for a highly engaged and motivated individual with a passion for improving the lives of people affected by blood borne viruses. If that sounds like you then we would love to hear from you.
In return, we offer a supportive and valuing work environment with encouragement to develop personally and professionally.
Given the nature of this role, it is a genuine occupational requirement that candidates for this post should identify as being from a BAME community.
