The purpose of the Operational Growth Manager role is to provide Dunbeath District Centre (DDC) with vision, leadership, business development, project development, and strategic purpose. The overall aim is to develop a purpose-built Wellbeing Hub for South East Caithness – The Jigsaw Project. Read the business plan here for more detail.

You’ll be passionate about rural communities and the quality of life of residents. You’ll be solution focused and have a personal drive to deliver. The Centre Users have shared their opinion and the vision is clear. You’ll support the board, staff and volunteers to make the community’s dream a reality and set a standard for other organisations to follow. You’ll have a can-do attitude which will help to change the third sector within communities in South East Caithness and beyond. You’ll have the ability to generate grant fund income as well as unrestricted reserves for the organisation.

You’ll gather the required talent and bring the project to fruition while maintaining the values of the DDC. You’ll create an environment of respect, honesty, curiosity, learning, inclusivity, kindness and compassion. You’ll make a difference not only to the organisation but to the residents of South East Caithness.

The Dunbeath and District Centre (DDC) is a company limited by guarantee, incorporated in 1992 (SC137444) and is registered as a charity (SCO19367). DDC has a board of 6 voluntary trustees, each with special responsibilities. In addition to the Trustees/Directors, the Centre currently has 285 registered users supported by 37 volunteers, 1 full-time and 3 part-time members of staff. The DDC team have embedded themselves within the Caithness community as an anchor organisation which engages with multiple agencies to best support the community.

The Dunbeath and District Centre has ambitious plans and looks forward to a period of rapid growth.
