About Options Fife- Respite and Outreach

Options Fife- Respite and Outreach provides a range of flexible support through outreach and overnight short breaks at weekends, evenings and school holidays to children and young people with complex learning disabilities and autism. We offer a high-quality child centred service providing positive and enabling experiences for the young people, supporting them through the challenges and complexities that enable them to work towards their individual outcomes and personal goals. We work closely with families and other professionals in providing support tailored around the child’s plan.

What we are looking for....

We are recruiting an Assistant Service Manager to join our experienced team. As Assistant Service Manager you will support the Service Manager in the day to day management of the service and work closely with family’s professionals including health and social work. This can be a challenging but rewarding role assisting and supporting the team’s journey, building upon and reaching new personal goals.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about ensuring our young people live their best lives. You will play a fundamental role in ensuring that our young people have the best possible experience whilst working towards goals in their care plans. Whilst not without its challenges and demands, this is a highly rewarding role. Using a person-centred approach, you will provide enabling support ensuring the highest level of physical, personal and emotional care. We are looking for someone who will contribute to the leadership, management and development of services for children, young people and families in line with planned objectives and assist with service review and evaluation.

You will have relevant experience of working with children and young people with a disability and/or autism in a community or residential setting and understand the impact of disability on social inclusion. You are required to meet the qualifications requirement for this post which is at SCQF Level 8 (eg. HNC, SVQ Level 4). This post requires you to register with the Scottish Social Services Council as a Residential Child Care Worker with Supervisory Responsibilities and Support Worker in a Care at Home Service.

This post will work 37.5 hours per week, these hours will be worked flexible between management tasks and on shift as part of a residential rota which will include evenings, weekends and public holidays. There is also the requirement to undertake occasional sleep overs
