The Camden Specialist Drug Service offers specialist substance misuse support to those with complex needs. The service works in close partnership with the lead provider Camden & Islington Mental Health Trust (C&I) to offer a broad range of recovery orientated, high quality services to meet the needs of service users. WDP Camden is an established community service that is well performing and highly functioning. We are a friendly team of multidisciplinary professionals consisting of both clinical and psychosocial elements and is CQC registered to provide a range of clinical interventions including BBV, health interventions, and OST.
The service operates Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm.
About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and committed individual to join Camden Specialist drug service. This exciting and rewarding role will provide you with significant scope for growth and innovation within a supportive and friendly multidisciplinary team of clinical and non-clinical professionals.
The main purpose of this role is to provide quality support to a caseload of clients experiencing a range of complex needs and issues. To assess, plan, implement and evaluate care in negotiation with service users, carers and other services, considering the needs of a diverse community with a basis of Substance Misuse Recovery.
We are seeking committed, organised and highly motivated candidates, with an in-depth knowledge and experience of the challenges affecting people with substance misuse and related health and wellbeing issues.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving service making positive changes in service users’ lives, through a non-judgemental, recovery-based approach that values the strengths and choices of those individuals. As a Recovery Practitioner you will providing recovery focused assessments, motivational interventions and engagement support for drug and alcohol users accessing treatment and recovery interventions in Camden. In addition, this service provides care coordination and re-engagement of clients throughout their recovery journey. This service is central in the community and residential treatment pathway supporting clients to access residential rehab, structured treatment and aftercare services at any stage in their treatment journey.
Experience of prescribing is an advantage, but not essential as full training will be provided.
