About Aberlour Options Lothian
At Options Lothian we offer a safe, homely environment for children and young people to stay for a short break that gives their families a rest from their caring role. During their stay children enjoy a range of fun activities and experiences which enable them to try new things and maximise their potential. The house is very much a ‘home from home’ for the children who stay with us. A maximum of 4 young people stay with us at any one time and this means that the team are able to provide very child-centred care and activities which are responsive to their needs.
What we are looking for....
We are looking to welcome a new Assistant Service Manager into our team who is passionate about ensuring that our young people live their best lives and can be all they can be – as we ourselves seek to be. You may already have management or leadership experience within a disability environment. Alternatively, you may have experience of working in a senior worker role and are looking to take the first steps on the management career ladder. In either case, we will support and encourage you to achieve your objectives whatever these might be.
Depending on your preference, we can offer either a 30 hour or 37.5 hour a week contract with 25 hours worked on shift between Friday and Monday. This time would be split between direct work with our children and young people as part of the residential shift rota including occasional sleep overs and wakened night shifts, and providing management support to the staff during the weekends,
If you are curious to find out more about this wonderful opportunity, please ring Maria Smith, Service Manager on 01875 819523.
