Would you like to be part of our future? Scottish Love in Action is recruiting for a new role, a Business Development Manager, to be instrumental in achieving our commitment to continue and expand our work in India. This individual will have the opportunity to influence every aspect of our organisation, working with and managing a small Executive team and reporting to the Board.

Established 21 years ago, SLA works with carefully selected local partners to empower vulnerable children and young people in India to change their lives. We are committed to developing our work, having just launched a new project across three major Indian cities. In the medium term, our sister charity, The Pipal Foundation, will be providing funds allowing us to substantially expand our reach.

Fundraising to achieve our goals is at the core of our business. We are looking for an individual with drive, enthusiasm, leadership skills, commercial acumen and a proven track record in fundraising to help us expand and meet our potential.

This role will be responsible for developing and implementing the Strategic Management Plan and will have responsibility for the Profit and Loss of the organisation. Developing a Communications Strategy will be crucial. The role requires management of our expenditure in India and relationships with our Indian partners. Leadership is key, developing and managing a high performance team. This team consists of a Fundraising and Events Manager, Communications Officer and Business Coordinator along with a team of enthusiastic volunteers. The role will also update the Board on matters of Governance. As the 'face' of SLA you will reflect the charity's Values.
