Support in Mind Scotland Edinburgh and Lothian team has an exciting new opportunity for someone with a passion for making a positive difference to people’s lives and using their experience and compassion to manage and develop our services and reach more people across the Region.
In this challenging exciting new role, you will be responsible specifically for providing leadership to our Thrive Welcome Team and for ensuring our services, including our registered services, are delivered to a high standard across the City. Working with the Area Manager and our other Locality Manager for the Area, you will engage with our external partners and stakeholders to sustain excellent partnerships, and will manage staff, develop new services and projects and lead our development into new areas reaching more people who need support.
You will help to develop our strategic outcomes for the area, and take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of our services. You will attend meetings, present our work to external audiences and deputise for the Area Manager when necessary. You will lead on our quality monitoring and reporting, ensuring we gather data and produce appropriate reports, including being our contact for the Care Inspectorate.

Who are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Manager, with at least 3 years working with people affected by mental health issues. You will also be registered with the SSSC or prepared to work towards this registration as a priority. You will be able to demonstrate excellent partnership working and be confident in representing the organisation and our services to a wide audience. You will be familiar with evaluation methods and have excellent It and report-writing skills. Finally you will share the values of Support in Mind Scotland showing a commitment to a rights-based approach and non-discriminatory practice.
The post is for 5 days a week worked between 9 and 5, with occasional hours required outside of these times. This post is office based, with travel across the City and the Lothian essential so you should have access to suitable transport.
