CHAP are looking for a person who wants to really make a difference.

CHAP, a charitable organisation based in the West Coast of Scotland, are looking for a Keyworker to join our successful team who, in 2020, secured in excess of one million pounds worth of financial gains for our clients. But we want to do better! Therefore, we are looking to increase capacity by adding another Keyworker to the team. This is a role where the successful candidate can really make a difference in supporting the most vulnerable people in our community.

CHAP provides independent advice and information on housing, welfare rights and debt issues, free of any charge, to people in crisis across Ayrshire. We exist to provide hope and to stand alongside our clients as they grapple with some of life’s most difficult challenges. We give those who need our help a voice.

The successful candidate will support the delivery of the ‘Better Off North Ayrshire’ programme which is being led by North Ayrshire Council. This two-year pilot (running to March 2023) is being delivered through a Public Social Partnership co-production model and aims to deliver advice services through a ‘whole-person’ approach. The successful applicant will have extensive knowledge of the welfare benefits system as well as experience of working with service users in an empowering capacity across all elements of their lives to achieve longer term positive outcomes. Applicants should also have experience of representing and negotiating on behalf of clients and providing advice on debt issues.

A driving licence and access to your own transport is essential.
