North Glasgow Integration Network SCIO (NGIN) is currently recruiting for a part-time Outreach Caseworker (16 hours).
The main aims and objectives of NGIN are to listen to and respond to the needs of asylum seekers and refugees who are accommodated in North/Northeast Glasgow communities to create opportunities and to offer as much support as possible to highlight the services available, to help them to feel safe, to develop the confidence to do their best to integrate with the host community and to have an improved quality of life.
We are expanding our staff team and are looking to recruit an Outreach Caseworker with experience of working in the refugee/asylum field to deliver services and promote integration in the Springburn, Sighthill, Balornock, Barmulloch, Royston and Milton communities. Given our aims and commitment to diversity, we encourage applications from people with lived experience of the asylum system, the BAME community, people from across the gender spectrum and people with additional support needs.
It is essential that any applicant has a live interest in improving the situation and wellbeing of all New Scots.
Role initially mainly home-based, with services increasingly operating from community venues in the G21 area as Scottish Government guidance allows.
