We are looking to recruit a positive, persuasive, proactive individual, with a passion for fundraising, events and the work of the charity, to join our fundraising and marketing team of 10. As Events Fundraiser, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a portfolio of exceptional special events, which surpass supporters’ expectations and maximise income generation against agreed targets. You will have experience of managing budgets in excess of £100,000 and using risk analyses and balancing cost time ratios to ensure the highest chance of success and ROI, will be second nature.
A track record in delivering successful fundraising events from conception through to evaluation is essential and you must have an eye for detail and possess the creativity and flair to drive new and imaginative fundraising concepts. Your remit will also include designing a series of fun and quirky networking events to showcase our work and establishing hospital based events, to raise vital funds and awareness, improve staff wellbeing and make the hospital experience more positive for children and young people.
We need someone who is friendly and extremely well organised, with excellent communication skills and the ability to quickly develop and maintain a rapport with a variety of stakeholders. Experience of working with volunteers is essential and you will enjoy collaborating with the wider ECHC team and seeking out new opportunities to elevate our events. You will be confident in making the ask for support and dedicated to providing a positive experience of ECHC, to everyone you work with. Developing personal stewardship programmes to celebrate our loyal supporters and encourage future giving is something you will take great pleasure in doing.

Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity operates from premises at 1st Floor, 1 Wester Shawfair, Danderhall, EH22 1FD and this post will be based here, with regular working from the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People, Little France, Edinburgh.
All staff have access to an employer pension scheme and are entitled to 30 days’ holiday including public holidays, the option of flexible working hours and a system of Toil and mileage allowance. It is our policy to appoint on the first point of the salary scale, which for this post is £25,389.
