About Aberlour Bridges Partnership Service

The Bridges Partnership is a multi-agency team which supports Glasgow women and children affected by violence/abuse. The partnership is Aberlour Children’s Charity and Shelter Scotland, who together deliver frontline, Holistic Pathways of support to keep Glasgow women/children safe (since 2016). The service follows a gendered and rights-based approach, empowering women/ children in crisis to access safe and affordable housing alongside intensive 1:1 emotional, practical and therapeutic support.

What we are looking for....

We are looking to recruit an Assistant Service Manager to join our Expanding Bridges Partnership Service new Glasgow Equally Safe Service. We are looking for someone who is passionate about ensuring our families live their best lives and have opportunities to develop and grow. Whilst not without its challenges and demands, this is a highly rewarding role. We are looking for someone who will contribute to the leadership, management and development of the service for children, young people and their families in line with agreed objectives and assist with service review and evaluation.

We are looking for candidates who are experienced in working alongside families experiencing domestic abuse to assess risk, strengths and needs as well as plan, deliver and evaluate interventions, safety planning and strategies which enable families to thrive. You will have experience of child and adult protection issues. You must share our vision that collaborative working and relationship based early intervention is the best option for children and families.

Ideally you will hold a relevant professional qualification at SCQF level 8 or above, together with relevant experience of working directly with children or young people and their families.

We are looking to recruit an Assistant Service Manager who work 37.5 hours per week, these hours are worked flexibly to suit the needs of our families. Our ambition is to help children, young people and families feel safe, confident, capable, and included, offering support when it is needed, including evenings and weekends. You will hold a caseload and work alongside families, empowering them to lead positive change in their own lives.
