Lanarkshire Carers is a well-established carer led organisation. We work with and for carers to develop and deliver services that make a positive difference to their lives. Lanarkshire Carers is a value-based organisation and our mission is to ensure that carers in Lanarkshire are identified, engaged, well informed, involved, supported and empowered. The organisation employs a staff team to deliver information, advice and direct support services across Lanarkshire that enable unpaid carers to continue to care, whilst maintaining their own health and wellbeing.
Board members at Lanarkshire Carers are responsible for the charity’s governance and strategy and are seeking to appoint a new Treasurer to lead, assist and advise the board in overseeing finances, and financial reporting and decision making.
The Treasurer will work closely with the CEO, Finance Co-ordinator and Business Administrator and with other members of the staff team at Lanarkshire Carers.
The Treasurer attends Board of Director meetings that take place one a month (currently on the last Monday of the month from 10am to 12.30pm). The Treasurer also attends monthly Finance sub group meetings and is in regular contact with board members and the management team throughout each month. The organisation is well established for remote/digital working and meeting. There will also be the opportunity to attend and carry out the role from our premises in Hamilton.
