We are seeking a Finance Assistant to join our Finance Department to assist the Head of Finance/ Management Accountant with the maintenance of accurate and up to date financial records of the Charity and its subsidiary. Applicants must have previous accounting experience, be able to work without supervision and be methodical with strong attention to detail and good communication skills. Experience of accounting software, including the use of Sage 200 would be advantageous. Computer literacy (particularly Excel) and the ability to work to targets are essential requirements of the post.

In particular, you will be responsible for:

  • Checking and processing of employee and volunteer expense claims.
  • Processing and checking of monthly credit card statements.
  • Processing of sales invoices (including grants) using SAGE 200 accounting systems.
  • Assist with month end and other periodic processes.
  • Providing cover within the Department, where required, for holidays, sickness etc.
