Established in 1999, The Pavillion (Greater Easterhouse) is a community youth organisation that provides a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for young people from primary 1 upwards, with most activities having historically focused on children and young people aged up to 18 but now with an increasing focus on whole family, whole community activities. Everything that we do aims to inspire our participants, raise their aspirations, help them to address the challenges that they face and encourage their development as young people.

The core of Pavillion’s service offer is a drop-in service for Mini’s, Junior’s, and Senior’s. While attending these sessions, young people take part in a wide range of engaging and developmental activities including issue-based workshops, sports, team building, games, STEM activities, art, music, and IT related activities. Specific additional projects are then developed around this core. For example, our peer wellbeing programme for young people allows young people to discuss their mental health and wellbeing and to support each other through a network of peers.

We also place a strong focus on attainment, helping young people to demonstrate what their development, through Youth Achievement / Dynamic Youth Awards, Community Achievement Awards, Saltire Awards and Youth Access units at Kelvin College.

Purpose of Job

The Business Development Manager in partnership with the community and staff will be responsible for developing and leading the business development strategy for the organisation.

The Pavillion needs a long-term plan. We have a small facility and a large catchment and an ever-increasing waiting list of families who need access to the service. We need to look at options for premises going forward. New build? Development on the current site or is it taking over an unused building in the community?

We also need to develop new income streams which lessen our need for grant funding.

We think this is a fantastic opportunity for someone with the correct skills and enthusiasm to make a real difference in a community despite having to deal with enormous issues, still has the drive and determination to succeed as individuals and a community. GoTo Mental Health Service for 14 – 21yr olds is based in South Lanarkshire was established in 2019. We are an early intervention service for young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health issues.

This is a partnership between Regenfx Youth Trust and Liber8 Lanarkshire. We have a small staff team that includes the Project Co-ordinator & CBT Counsellor.

GoTo uses a unique blend of Youth Work, rapid access to Counselling and CBT Interventions to prevent the escalation of poor mental health in young people. Our programme is flexible to meet the needs of our young people in time, spaces and places that suit them. Some evenings and occasional weekend working would be expected. All work is done in person, and we have no working from home arrangements.

Although we have one year funding left, we will use our evidence-based evaluations to approach other funders to extend the life of the project.

We need someone with a Youth Work background and sound knowledge of mental health issues that affect young people today.

As the Youth Worker, you will hold a caseload providing 1 to 1 support for participants and deliver appropriate groupwork sessions that encourage engagement with peers that will help reduce isolation.

Your responsibilities will also include recruiting and supporting volunteers on to our Youth Advisory Panel and creating opportunities for co-production of services.

The successful applicant will have a proven track record in working with young people. For this post you will be employed by Regenfx Youth Trust.

Job Role

Regenfx Youth Trust have established a dedicated intensive support outreach service for 13 – 25yr olds affected by alcohol & substance use.

The GIVIT is a 7- day a week service that includes evening & weekends. We use early intervention with blend of Youth Work, CBT Counselling, and a fully supported Recovery Model.

We are recruiting a Peer Support Worker who may have personal experience of alcohol or substance recovery and genuinely interested in working with young people.

You will support young people who will be embarking on their own recovery journeys. You will also be assisting in the recruiting, training and supporting of the GIVIT Youth Advisory Panel. You should be able to build solid relationships with young people based on trust, mutual respect, care and compassion.

You should be a minimum of 18 months into your own recovery journey.

The Peer Support Worker will engage with young people during drop-in’s who require low level intervention, learn how to undertake assessments and work with young people who have problematic alcohol and drug use. You will be responsible for opening bases, welcoming people and helping with team administration functions to support the satellite bases.

You will help establish the first ever dedicated Youth Recovery Community based in South Lanarkshire.

Experience of working with hard-to-reach young people and engaging them in services successfully is desirable but not essential.

We are looking for a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team. Y sort it Young Carers Service supports young carers/ young adult carers aged between 8-18 years across West Dunbartonshire.

This exciting post offers a unique opportunity to work with Young Carers within school, home & community based settings. The role of the Young Carer Support Workers will be to support young carers in making informed choices around issues that are important to them, through one to one, group work sessions & respite.

You will be offering and completing assessments, developing support plans, providing advice and information, training, and peer support to help young carers with their caring role.

Young carers are supported through a range of measures to alleviate the caring role and your role will be to work closely with schools, partner agencies and family members to ensure they are able to be a young person first and foremost.

The post holder should be flexible as the actual times of work will involve working, evenings, school holidays and weekends. The post holder should be flexible as the actual times of work may change to respond to the demands of the work of the Young Carers Service including overnight stays for respite.
