Due to the internal secondment of a key member of our team, we are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic individual to deliver CVS Inverclyde’s (CVSI) Third Sector Interface (TSI) function. The postholder will be responsible for delivering organisational development and capacity building support to the voluntary, community and third sector in 4 core areas including governance, organisational development, volunteering and social enterprise. The post holder will be responsible for leading advice and guidance to groups around these topics, ensuring that they are informed of the regulatory and legal information necessary. They will also support the broader work of CVS Inverclyde in developing a strong Third Sector, including delivery of training, workshops and policy development relevant to the speciality areas connected with this post.

CVS Inverclyde are looking for an Operations Manager due to retirement of a long serving and much valued staff member. This is a unique opportunity to join and assist in the operational leadership of CVS Inverclyde as a part of our Senior Management Team.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the post holder will work to strengthen the sector through supporting and managing the delivery of organisational development and capacity building support to the voluntary, community and third sector in 4 core areas including governance, organisational development, volunteering and social enterprise. They are responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of our programmes and creating new opportunities for service development. The post holder will represent CVS Inverclyde on key strategic boards and strengthen and develop our partnerships throughout the 3rd sector.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the voluntary sector and experience of networking between organisations and sectors. A solid understanding of financial and budgetary processes would be advantageous. It is likely that the post holder will have an established track record in a leadership role whilst maintaining a flexible approach to their work. The post holder will also be required to have a clean driving licence and/or access to a car and driver.

The Development Officer – Community Ownership role will support the development and sustainability of the local third sector by providing tailored organisational development support through a place based approach including governance, funding, socially enterprising activity, business planning, volunteering management and community leadership to create strong infrastructures to enable and empower third sector groups and organisations to take forward their aspirations of community ownership and community asset transfer.

The purpose of the Social Enterprise Development Officer role is to support and develop social enterprise activity within the third sector, working with key stakeholders and strategic partners to promote the social economy within the Falkirk & District area. Promote social entrepreneurship, through awareness raising events, knowledge exchange and peer networking within the third sector and with local and national strategic partners.
