At a time when businesses are increasingly conscious of their responsibility to address climate breakdown and ecological decline, there exists an opportunity to align rewilding with investment and engagement from the business sector. Seizing this opportunity to make more rewilding happen, lies at the core of this role.

The role will report directly to the Head of Fundraising and will also have regular liaison with the wider SBP team, as well as communication with partners, supporters and other external contacts.

We’re looking for a Finance Officer to join our fundraising and administration team. You will be supporting the Director in the running of Tailor Ed Foundation, with specific responsibilities in relation to financial procedures and tasks, enabling the smooth running of our services to families of autistic children.

Tailor Ed is a dedicated team of passionate and skilled professionals whose wish is to see autistic children and their families empowered and included, able to live the lives they want to and access all the day to day experiences that other families take for granted. Scottish Cot Death Trust is Scotland’s only charity dedicated to the issue of the sudden and unexpected death of babies and young children. Our key strands of work include support for families, a diverse training programme for professionals across a range of sectors, and research into sudden infant death.

To support our work we are looking for a Fundraising and Communications Officer with a strong track record in income generation and effective communications. Ideally, we’re looking for someone with experience of community fundraising, corporate fundraising such as ‘charity of the year’ partnerships, and digital appeals. However, we’re open to applications from anyone with different experience but with the transferrable skills, energy and attitude to be an exceptional fundraising and communications colleague.

We’re open to applications on a job share basis for either of the distinct parts of the role, with the fundraising element at 21 hours/wk and the communications (including digital appeals) at 14 hours/wk. Role Responsibility

As one of our regionally dispersed Community Fundraiser’s, you’ll be joining a busy team, where you will manage relationships with our key supporters with the primary purpose of generating income across a geographical area, through community fundraising activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering income targets across the region by building strong relationships with individuals, local companies, community groups and volunteers, in line with our community fundraising strategy. You will also be responsible for the management of local third-party events in your region and in providing excellent stewardship to those supporters.

This role is home-based with regular travel across the region. There will also be regular travel to Diabetes UK offices for meetings.

The Ideal Candidate

You’ll be able to demonstrate a track record of meeting income targets through relationship fundraising. You’ll be experienced in building and maintaining relationships with supporters and colleagues. A proactive person, you’ll be self-motivated and able to work independently with a solution focussed approach. As an experienced fundraiser, you’ll be skilled in managing income and expenditure budgets and financial reporting. It is desirable that you have managed large third-party events before, however training will be provided, if not.
