Thank you for your interest in becoming a Board Member of the Caledonia Housing Association Group. This position is non-remunerated and, although Board meetings are held in Perth, they can be joined virtually so location is open.

We are a large organisation that owns and manages more than 7,800 properties across 8 local authority areas, and we employ nearly 200 staff. As a Board member you will have a key role providing the leadership and strategic direction to ensure the organisation continues to grow and develop.

We recognise that a broad and diverse Board composition provides the range of skills and experience key to the high standards of governance which are critical to our continued success.

To complement the existing Board profile, we are keen to hear from people with experience in human resources and organisational development, audit and finance, legal services, IT and digital development, housing and social policy. But we also want our Board to reflect the diversity of the communities and lived experiences of those people we provide housing for and would welcome people with wider knowledge and interest in our work to apply.

There is no requirement to have had any previous Board experience - what is important is a desire to make a difference for our tenants and being prepared to contribute to discussions and decision-making that will help shape our future.

Muirhouse Housing Association, a small community based organisation based in North Edinburgh are looking to recruit a talented, enthusiastic and committed Finance Officer to deliver our day to day finance activities. This is an exciting opportunity to join the organisation which has strong ambitions to achieve great outcomes for our local community. This post is new within the association and provides an opportunity for a fresh approach and to complement our already strong staff team.

The successful candidate will be the day to day lead on financial activities for the organisation. They will ensure successful management of all organisational finances and will play a key role in ensuring high quality support is provided to customers and stakeholders. The Finance Officer will work closely alongside the Corporate Services Manager to be a key figure in helping the organisation achieve strategic objectives related to finance.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a role delivering finance services. A relevant qualification is desirable but not essential where there is equivalent experience. Direct housing association experience is not essential although transferability to the sector must be demonstrated in application therefore some previous experience within a third sector or charitable role would prove beneficial. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused and comfortable working in a small team to deliver big outcomes.

You should be able to demonstrate:

• Strong experience producing and working with financial information

• Excellent interpersonal, listening and communication skills

• A self-motivated, enthusiastic and flexible attitude to tasks

• Ability produce management report and information within tight timescales

• Ability to thrive as part of a small and meet our objectives

We are looking for a dynamic individual to play a key role in our Development Team and to:

• Support and help drive forward our goals, ambitions and annual income targets (as outlined in our 5 year business plan)
• Ensure the sustainability of our 3 year pipeline

We are looking for a fantastic communicator, as well as an enthusiastic team member who is ready to develop into, or can bring a proven fundraising track record of, securing large grants/tenders. Ideally you will be ready, or have experience to deliver across the themes on which Impact Arts delivers (namely Employability, Education, Health, Housing, Regeneration, Culture and Youth Work). A confident and capable individual they will be a key part of the Development team

Our current Development Team is strong and has a wealth of combined experience, skills and consistently achieves significant results and income targets. We are now looking for an individual that can complement these and help us fulfil the needs that arise out of our new ambitious and goals. The Supported Housing Worker role requires assisting in the management of the development thus ensuring the tenants are able to enjoy an acceptable standard of living in an environment which is clean, safe and friendly. You will be responsible for overseeing the wellbeing of the tenants and for assisting them in maintaining their independence.

As Housing Care Worker your role will involve working with our tenants to ensure they receive the support and personal care identified in their care plans. You will directly support tenants in their homes by providing individual advice, practical housing support assistance and personal care.

Both roles are to ensure that we are able to offer the best service to our tenants and make it possible for our tenants to continue enjoying as much independent living as they’re able.
