Contracts and Commissioning Manager

Sacro is a charity focused on its core business of supporting people in the justice system and helping them to find paths to positive change.

We are looking for a talented manager to join our team to support and manage our tender, bid and contract processes.

We work very closely with local authority commissioners and service and are contracted to deliver both statutory and non-statutory services. We receive funding from Scottish Government for some activities and we deliver some projects via partnerships and with funding from grants and trusts.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to coordinate and support the business development needs of our leaders and managers, preparing compelling and relevant proposals, tenders and reports and ensuring the process of developing bids is well managed according to our strategy and values.

You will develop and nurture relationships with funding stakeholders, providing a key link between them and the relevant internal teams.

You could be from a commissioning or third sector background, but you should have a strong knowledge and experience of tendering and procurement processes and ideally bidding process for grant and trust funders. You will be very organised, and be able to work to tight deadlines

You will work across the organisation to support the development of accurate management information and contribute to the evaluation and monitoring of outcomes and impacts. You will provide reports to the Leadership Team on the progress of existing projects as well as new opportunities relevant to Sacro’s strategic plan.

You should be able to get to know people and the way we work quickly and bring confidence in our processes to the team. Most importantly, you should share our values.

Sacro works across Scotland, and you can be based in a number of locations, but expect to travel sometimes as well as hybrid working.

Scottish Cot Death Trust is Scotland’s only charity dedicated to the issue of the sudden and unexpected death of babies and young children. Our key strands of work include support for families, a diverse training programme for professionals across a range of sectors, and research into sudden infant death.

To support our work we are looking for a Fundraising and Communications Officer with a strong track record in income generation and effective communications. Ideally, we’re looking for someone with experience of community fundraising, corporate fundraising such as ‘charity of the year’ partnerships, and digital appeals. However, we’re open to applications from anyone with different experience but with the transferrable skills, energy and attitude to be an exceptional fundraising and communications colleague.

We’re open to applications on a job share basis for either of the distinct parts of the role, with the fundraising element at 21 hours/wk and the communications (including digital appeals) at 14 hours/wk. Scottish Cot Death Trust is Scotland’s only charity dedicated to the issue of the sudden and unexpected death of babies and young children. A key part of our work is providing a range of support for families and we’re looking for an experienced and compassionate Bereavement Support Manager to join our team. This is a new role and will be central to our commitment to working with and supporting families.

Our Bereavement Support Manager will oversee our bereavement services, directly support families, and further develop provision, including volunteering programmes. This is an exciting time to join Scottish Cot Death Trust and a unique opportunity to deliver and influence the development of services. Scottish Drugs Forum is delighted to be seeking a passionate and motivated individual to develop, coordinate and support peer naloxone supply across Scotland.

This post is an extension to the existing peer naloxone project that has been funded by the Scottish Government and is an exciting opportunity to contribute to drug death prevention efforts.

People who have experience of drug use are instantly credible among their peers when it comes to imparting harm reduction messages and in particular, overdose prevention strategies. They have a powerful reach in to communities and within the prison environment, which is unique to other forms of service provision.

This post will seek to maximise peer to peer naloxone with a coordinated and supported approach by delivering high quality training to peers, particularly people in prison. The post will also provide ongoing support and further develop a national peer network to enhance the delivery of naloxone provision by people who have experience of drug use.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a project that can reduce the stigma towards people who use drugs by embedding the work of peers in drug services so that they are viewed as equal partners in overdose responses.

Experience of drug use is desirable for this post.
