Scottish Drugs Forum is delighted to be seeking a passionate and motivated individual to develop, coordinate and support peer naloxone supply across Scotland.

This post is an extension to the existing peer naloxone project that has been funded by the Scottish Government and is an exciting opportunity to contribute to drug death prevention efforts.

People who have experience of drug use are instantly credible among their peers when it comes to imparting harm reduction messages and in particular, overdose prevention strategies. They have a powerful reach in to communities and within the prison environment, which is unique to other forms of service provision.

This post will seek to maximise peer to peer naloxone with a coordinated and supported approach by delivering high quality training to peers, particularly people in prison. The post will also provide ongoing support and further develop a national peer network to enhance the delivery of naloxone provision by people who have experience of drug use.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a project that can reduce the stigma towards people who use drugs by embedding the work of peers in drug services so that they are viewed as equal partners in overdose responses.

Experience of drug use is desirable for this post.

The Employability Support Worker will make a real impact to individuals’ day to day lives as they uniquely tailor their personal development, offer emotional and practical support and set realistic goals as part of their journey to employability opportunities.

Role:

The Support Worker will provide safe, effective tiered support for Survivors and their families who access our services across Glasgow and are most at risk from addictions, homelessness, social isolation and poverty. The service will address health and social wellbeing, while promoting and supporting the development of trauma informed practice; guiding individuals through their healing process, introducing tools to develop coping skills and to live manageable lives.

Change Grow Live Forth Valley have an exciting new opportunity for a unique post which has been funded by NHS Forth Valley Sexual Health/BBV MCN. The successful candidates will work within our established Forth Valley team, actively promoting, coordinating and undertaking the delivery of effective interventions for hepatitis C/other Blood Borne Viruses using a whole system approach.

There is an expectation that the post-holder will support the wider SH/BBV agenda. The post holder will provide a degree of flexibility and contribute to the wider strategic aims and on-going development of screening and treatment programmes.

The successful candidates will have a passion for recovery, an openness to a variety of approaches and interventions, a willingness to learn, good communication and literacy skills.
