We are searching for a Coordinator with excellent organisational, communication and administrative skills and a passion for working with children, young people, and those who love and care for them. The post-holder will work within busy and friendly teams and will support the delivery of Programmes with our CYP Health and Wellbeing Services.

Applicants for this post must be experienced working with Microsoft Office packages including Microsoft Teams, Word, and Excel, and be able to create spreadsheets and deal with numerical information. They must also be confident in delivering presentations, coordinating projects and producing reports.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Personal Assistant to the Director of Barnardo's Scotland. This role is permanent, full time with hybrid working between home and an office base in Edinburgh.

As the Personal Assistant, you will effectively manage the time and workload of the Director by supporting them with a wide range of administrative tasks. You will do this by proactively identifying and undertaking tasks and undertaking ad-hoc project work.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional organisational skills, the ability to produce agendas and minutes for key meetings and be able to communicate comfortably across multiple levels of the organisation. Project, time management and conference organisation skills would also be an advantage. This role will require you to be conscientious, self-motivated and pro-active whilst working with multiple stakeholders across the charity and externally.

Western Isles-based charity The Leanne Fund is going through an exciting period of growth and development and is recruiting for the position of Project Support Officer.

For more than twelve years The Leanne Fund has successfully been delivering a range of support services to individuals affected by Cystic Fibrosis (CF) and their families across the North of Scotland. A new development project will enable the charity to support many more individuals and families across 3 additional regions of Scotland.

We are looking for an exceptionally motivated, reliable and enthusiastic individual with appropriate project support experience to join our small and dynamic team here at The Leanne Fund.

The Project Support Officer role’s main purpose will be to support the Development Manager in the planning, coordination and monitoring of specific projects to meet set objectives.

You will have proven experience of working within a busy office environment and comprehensive computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office packages.

WE ARE SEEKING TO RECRUIT ENTHUSIASTIC AND COMMITTED PROJECT WORKERS TO JOIN OUR SHORT BREAKS SERVICE

We are looking for someone to join our WAKING NIGHT staff team, working on a rota basis including weekends. Our full-time hours are 40 hours per week, working on a rota of 10 hour night shifts.

ABOUT CAERN

Barnardo's Caern Disability Services consists of three unique Projects who deliver a variety of quality services for young people with learning disabilities and/or autism. We have done this for over forty years.

Our Caern Short Breaks service supports up to 6 children and young people at any one time aged 5-18 by offering and short break packages to them and their families. All staff play an active role in supporting the children, young people and their families/carers to achieve positive outcomes, as identified in the Young People's Individual Support Plans.

ABOUT YOU

Ideally you will have experience in working directly with children and young people in a short breaks or residential setting. Experience in supporting children and young people with a learning disability and/or Autism would be an advantage.

Communication with the young people is paramount - the key is time tabling; structure; reliability and consistency. You will be faced with behaviours that challenge, including physical.

The staff team across Caern Services must be fully accepting of our children and be prepared to offer them a professional relationship based on acceptance and informed by our understanding of their individual needs, wishes and experiences. We are passionate about the children and young people that we care for, showing understanding, empathy and consistency in our approach.

You will hold (or be willing to work towards) a relevant professional qualification at SCQF level 7 or above (for example SVQ3 children and young people) plus an HNC in social services. These qualifications are required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as part of your employment. There may be external grants available to partly fund this.
